Main items Discussed at the meeting:

• As this was the first BOT meeting since elections Shane Burns stepped down as Chairperson.  He was then re-elected.
• Emma Campbell has taken over the role of secretary, with Zak Foote taking on the treasurer role.
• Kesey Hindrup will act as PSG liaison.  
• The timetable for the ERO visit was circulated.  The Board look forward to working with ERO.
• Ideas for establishing more car parking for staff to free up other parking spaces was discussed.  Richard Smales will look into this further.
• Learning targets were discussed with information presented by Leslee.  It is pleasing to note that some very good progress is being made particularly by our target learners through in-class support programmes.
• Health and safety register was presented.  All hazards are being appropriately identified and dealt with in a timely manner.
• Current classroom inquiry topics were presented as part of Leslee’s report.   
• The Board reviewed and accepted the following policies 

*Reporting Suspected Abuse

*Child Protection Policy (this is a new policy for our school)

*Cyber Safety

*Road Safety

• Leslee promoted the upcoming NetSafe meeting at Kamo High School.  This is a great opportunity to ensure you know how to keep children safe online.
• Financially the school is on track, however there is no money for any extras needed around the school and in classrooms.  Emma Campbell offered to take over responsibility for applying for grants and this offer was gratefully accepted.
