New Entrant Teacher
We are currently seeking a fabulous New Entrant teacher to cover one year of maternity leave. This position will begin in Term 3, 2026 and run through to the end of Term 2, 2027.
If you are able to work relationally with children and their whānau, are an excellent communicator, and have a strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practice, we would love to hear from you.
Our New Entrant class operates within a play-based pedagogy, incorporating small amounts of explicit teaching. This position would suit someone who is passionate about teaching in this way.
The successful applicant will manage the transition-to-school process, including visiting children in their ECE settings and liaising closely with ECE staff to support a smooth and positive start to school.
This is a very important role within our school, and we are looking for the right person to ensure our youngest learners continue to thrive in a nurturing environment.
This position may particularly suit someone with an ECE background who is looking to take the step into primary teaching within a supportive and highly experienced team.
