Kaurihohore School Board of Trustees Meeting
Tuesday 13th September, 2016, 7:00pm
Present: Leslee Allen, Kasey Hindrup, Zak Foote, Richard Smales, Shane Burns, Yvette Johnston, Brett Hogan (co-opted member), Emma Campbell
Main Discussion Points:
- Funding application: The grant to The Trusts Community Foundation has been sent. Currently awaiting response. This grant is to cover the purchase of more i-pads.
- Principal’s report
- Curriculum report for term 3 - School targets are all on track.
- Most children who are below their level are making accelerated progress against their target goals.
- The school holds vocabulary to be very important for new entrants when they start school as this is the basis to their ongoing learning.
- The board agreed to make an application to the Oxford Sports Trust Grant for funding of the school gala children's entertainment (Bouncy castle, bumper cars etc).
- Fire Drill - went very well, however Room 9 cannot hear the bell. Need to have this fixed.
- Our budget is on track for this time of the year. The school roll is currently 196 and is expected to be about 203 by the end of the year. More roll growth is expected in 2017.

- Maintenance report tabled and accepted
- Health and safety report tabled and accepted
Projects
- Carpark extension and bike shed – these are the next projects to be completed. The Board hopes that by creating a small staff car park beside the admin building more car parks will be available at peak times of the day. The Gala will go towards funding the bike shed.
