Must reads as children grow and develop

This page has been added to our information blog. It includes great articles that I consider must reads for parents. Around Year 3 or 4, maybe as late as Year 5 children start to experience conflicts within friendships. They are developing their own personalities and likes and dislikes and it is normal for this to happen. Friendships formed in the early years are often based on convenience, for example they may have been friends in ECE, they have started school at the same time, or maybe their families are friends. As they mature, these friendships may change and conflict may occur as they no longer have anything in common. It is ok for these friendships to end and how you react to this is important. It is great to have all of this info in the one place, and I know as a parent I would have benefitted from reading these articles. Often how we engage in this and the messages we give, effect how the children perceive the situation. Conflicts are very normal and in fact are important learning as children grow and develop.
