What a lovely evening we had for prize giving...so brilliant to be able to celebrate the success of our children and school outside in the fine weather.
We have an amazing school and a fantastic, dedicated staff who go above and beyond, thank you for all of your hard work this year.
Thank you to all of our community for your support this year...we appreciate it!
School will start back for children on Tuesday the 2nd of February.
The office will be open from the 25th of January.
If you need to contact us between these times it is best to email me at:
principal@kaurihohoreschool.co.nz and I will endeavour to get back to you when I can over my holiday break.
Stationery can be purchased any time from now on at Office Max. Online is a great way to purchase stationery, and it is very easy. Just go to this link and search our school. This is then delivered to your door without any hassle at all. Purchasing through Office Max also helps the school out financially...every small bit counts.
Once again thank you for all of your support this year. I am truly grateful to work in an amazing school with an active, supportive community. Have a Merry Christmas and a great New Year.
Stay safe
Leslee Allen

Athletics Day - This Wednesday
ATHLETICS DAY – Wednesday November 11th
Our Athletics day will be held on Wednesday the 11th of November.
Below is the expected schedule of the day.
Our plan is to keep children out of the likely heat of the afternoon, therefore all events will be run prior to lunchtime with children returning to class after lunch.
9.00 Children will go to class as normal, the roll will be taken. Children will then assemble on the court. The children will be grouped in their year levels.
9.15 start
First four events will run.
Approximate time of morning tea is 10.30 (However this is dependent on the length of time each event takes.)
10.30 – 11.10 – Morning Tea
Following morning tea the final 3 events will run.
Lunchtime approximately 12.45
Children will need to come along in appropriate clothing to run and jump in. They will also need their hat, sunscreen and water. A jumper is also a good idea just in case it is cold. It would be wonderful to see as many adults as possible wearing hats as well.
Events on this day will include shot put, discus, high jump, standing jump, hurdles, sprints and fun relays. The emphasis of this day is for the children to have fun through competition.
If it is wet the event will be cancelled, a decision will be made by 8.30am

2015 Gala
A huge thank you to all of our supporters, for the donation of goods, financial sponsorship, hard work before the day, baking of cakes, parking of cars, setting up, packing up, cleaning up, leading horses, selling food, driving 4WD and quads, taking tickets, making candy floss, selling plants, manning stalls, running of games, painting of faces, selling paddles at the quick fire, organising auctions, creation of items for sale, picking up tables, picking up gazebos, preparation of food....for all the ways so many people helped before and on the day in so many different ways THANKS A MILLION!
Our gala was once again a big success thanks to everyone that put in the time to help us. Our children and community will benefit from a bike track built in the future because of these efforts. We are holding a gala helpers thank you afternoon tea on Friday the 13th at 3.30pm, we'd love to see you there.
